Events
One of our specialised and most experienced areas is live events. Any professional videographer will admit that these are not the easiest subjects to film – the videographer has just one chance to capture that moment. An inexperienced videographer can be quickly caught out by unforeseen circumstances. However, we have filmed countless weddings and events with very pleasing results for delighted customers.
Corporate
Do you need a new safety or induction video for your employees and visitors, or perhaps you need a short trailer to advertise the main selling points of your company that can be uploaded onto the internet ie if you own a restaurant, pub or hotel, we can capture the ambience, hospitality and comfort of your establishment. These videos are often very expensive when using large corporate video companies and can become outdated very quickly by ever changing regulations and services or appearance. However, we can deliver a professional video at a more affordable price allowing you to re-invest in other areas or new videos more regularly. Our most recent corporate video was made for Careers Wales North West.
News and Documentaries (Special Interest Video & DVD)
Working together we are able to produce a cost effective film from script to screen. Perhaps you want to produce a short news item to highlight local news or views on strong local issues ie strongly opposed planning applications for unwanted buildings or roads or to highlight the success of a local regeneration project in the area or perhaps you would like to make a historical documentary or special interest video involving a local/national group or society. This can then be uploaded onto the internet to capture a local and worldwide audience, and in the longer term, mature into an intriguing historical record of today to be viewed by generations in the future. The production can also be produced as a commercial profit making DVD (Special Interest Video) which could cover your production costs.
Music Videos
The cost of a music video will vary depending on how simple or complex you want your video to be. We can create an effective but simple video by either shooting a live performance or specifically staging a performance for the video with pre-scripted shots and rehearsals to get that extra detail and sound quality. If you want something more elaborate with various locations and special editing effects we can cater for this – to a point. Sorry – we can’t do crane or aerial shots or explosions. I’m afraid that is for the big boys! We are a budget company after all!
Drama
Qualified to degree level in the Performance Arts we are experienced to assist with producing your film with the passion and creativity your film rightly deserves. We have already produced drama films for local schools but are also looking to work with semi professional actors and drama groups, or persons wanting to explore film as a performance medium. We are currently looking to add a drama project to our portfolio and as a consequence, if you are unable to obtain funding, we will consider working together under a voluntary arrangement whilst establishing your and our work.
Youth Film Projects
David Pearson graduated with a degree in Performing Arts in 1995 from the University of East Anglia. For almost ten years David has worked extensively across North Wales producing and directing stage and video productions in education for pre and post 16 pupils. Recent film projects have included the following:
- Anti Bullying Films – For Prestatyn High School and Ysgol John Bright, Llandudno
- Dangers of Electricity Film – This project was undertaken by pupils at Ysgol John Bright, Llandudno which was produced for and funded by Deeside Power Station.
- Lesson Learned - Anti-Drugs Flim produced by Ysgol Glan Aber, Bagillt and funded by The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain. Click here to view this film
Facilitated Projects
This type of film project can be tailored to fit the budget and aims and learning outcomes required by the school. A series of workshops can form the project structure to include the full production process, including:
- Script Development
- Shooting Schedule
- Acting Techniques
- Rehearsals
- Shooting the video
Workshops can be delivered as a weekly workshop (Usually 2 x 50 minute lessons) over a number of agreed weeks (Usually between 5-10 weeks). Alternatively the project could be delivered over a period of 2-4 full school days. This option may be suitable as a work experience programme. The project is best suited to group sizes of 5-10 pupils.
Directed Projects
Occasionally a schools’ drama department may wish to explore the use of film as a performance medium but does not have the skills or equipment to facilitate the project. Working under the direction of the drama teacher we are able to provide your project with a Camera Operator and Editor to help produce your film.
Editing Personal Home/Family Projects
You’ve bought the camera and managed to learn how to operate it – but simply haven’t got the time or skill to work out how to edit it into a video that everyone is willing to watch. Or perhaps you want to compile all your favourite clips of fond family memories or past relatives, all edited onto one exciting DVD. I can also film and edit your own private events with full confidentiality.
Post Production, Design and DVD Duplication Services
Once we have edited your film we can add any titles and designs to your specifications or we can produce a design for you. We also produce customised DVD menu screens as well as producing a DVD disk and cover design. Finally we can provide any duplication and replication of your DVD to any required quantity.
Videos to DVD
Are your bulky videos taking up too much space? Or are you worried that those special memories of past relatives will fade away forever as the quality of the video deteriorates over time. I can do a straight transfer of your VHS video to DVD.
